Town Hall with Safety & Permits

May 1 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Join us Wednesday, May 1st for the first installment in our new Town Hall series, in an effort to increase communication from the community of architects with the officials who work diligently to manage and protect our built environment.

The first event in the series will feature Zachary Smith, AIA, CBO, Director of the New Orleans’ Department of Safety and Permits. Held at the Center for Architecture and Design from 6:00-7:30 PM, the Town Hall will provide an opportunity to ask questions and to hear more about his office.

The public officials, elected and appointed, who govern our built environment are an important part of the ecosystem of architectural practice. AIA New Orleans will engage local and state officials in open dialogue about legislation and processes related to the practice of architecture. AIA Members are encouraged to join the discussion.

Attendees who RSVP before Wednesday, April 24th, will be invited to submit questions for Zachary Smith.

The AIA New Orleans is dedicated to helping members pursue their professional development through educational programming and observing projects in progress. Due to limited capacity, this event is limited to AIA and Assoc. AIA members. Become a member today at aia.org/join to be a part of this event and enjoy other professionally-focused programming.
