Kudos all involved in this Panel.
Congratulations Lonnie Hewitt Jr.
Too few and long ago times we interfaced; nonetheless, I still sense his experience, enlightenment and unique, welcoming, smile. Looking forward to this tribute.
Thank you for setting this up. I had the pleasure of having a great conversation with Mr. Hewitt after a lunch presentation a couple of years ago. A wonderful talented gentleman.
Lonnie Hewitt was a man of impeccsasble manners and great integrity and his love for the Achitectural profession shone through his display and comportment always as an ambassador who represented the profession well in the African American Community in New Orleans.
As a member of The Collaborative a membership we both enjoyed and exemplified towards fighting for advocacy, in affecting equity in professional opportunities for Minorities and Women he helped pen the publication of the Disparity Study with Core members, Lonnie was also instrumental in My work in Infrastructures Redevelopment for FEMA as a FEMA Executive during the Hurricane Katrina tragedy for the City of New Orleans when we landed on the ground from New York.
As a mentor and a friend Lonnie will be greatly missed.
