Salvage Design Competition Exhibition and Auction
November 8 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
AIA New Orleans is a proud partner of The Green Project’s Salvations Design Competition, Exhibition and Auction. We invite you to join our friends at The Green Project for their Salvations Exhibition and Auction, Friday evening, November 8 at the Marigny Opera House! Our very own Executive Director, Joel Pominville, is one of five judges in this year’s Design Competition.
Over 9 years, Salvations Salvage Design Competition has exhibited the work of over 100 designers from Louisiana and the Gulf South. Promoting the talented individuals that make up our community is a pillar of this event. At the exhibition, designers’ work is showcased and auctioned in support of both the designers and the Green Project. Join us for some great food, drinks, and music for an evening celebration reuse and design!
About The Green Project:
Serving New Orleans since 1994, the Green Project’s mission is to promote a culture of creative reuse by diverting usable materials from landfills and cultivating a respect for their value. Through their salvage store, paint recycling program, education and community empowerment, the Green Project diverts 40,000 gallons of paint from wetlands, reclaims 2 millions pounds of materials from the landfill and educates over 700 students and residents every year.
